Day Eighteen - Sanford, North Carolina

Another bout of relaxation was on the agenda for today. We slept in a little less than yesterday, but still had an amazing night's sleep.

We then ate some cereal, showered and headed into town to bring Taco Bell to Marie and Matt for lunch. Unfortunately the school wouldn't allow Jess and I to meet them in the cafeteria for lunch, and when Marie met us outside of the school, they also wouldn't let us give her the food that we had picked up. Which meant that all we could drop off were their sports bags and Marie's camera before we headed back to the house to enjoy the tacos / nachos that we had picked up for ourselves.

We hung out with Charlotte for the rest of the afternoon, taking a slight break to organize / clean out / rearrange the car, since we are leaving bright and early tomorrow morning. Once Marie got home from school we watched The Holiday (such a cute movie!), and were eventually joined by Matt. Friday is pizza night, so we were also eventually joined by pizza that him and Charlotte had picked up.

Stevie was supposed to be home around nine tonight, so Jess took the car and parked it a little bit farther up in the neighborhood so he wouldn't notice it. When we saw him pull in, Jess and I went and hid in the pantry. Then Charlotte and the kids told him that he should grab a treat for Felix (the schnauzer). Needless to say, the surprise when he opened up the pantry door and Jess and I jumped out was fantastic. :)

We spent the next few hours catching up; it has been a few years since I have seen him and it is always fun to share stories on the family. Stevie and I are first cousins, but he is closer in age to my mom, so we saw two different generations growing up. Jess and I are going to leave a little bit later tomorrow so we can all have breakfast together too.
