Day Eleven - Annville, Pennsylvania

Another morning of sleeping in makes Amanda one very happy lady. Kates came back from class around eleven and we made our way to lunch in their cafeteria. They had all sorts of options, but I just stuck with a sandwich and a banana. Then we dropped off some postcards and headed back to the room. Kates took me on a small tour of her campus on our way to check on her lab mice. I helped socialize them while Kates did her recording stuff. :)

Then we hung out at the room before loading up and heading out. We started at the Coach outlet store and then met Jennie and headed towards Chocolate World at Hershey, where we took a tour of how Hershey chocolate is made.

From there, we wandered around the massive gift shop.

Then it was time to head towards HersheyPark, an AWESOME amusement park. We had bought our tickets earlier, so we could just walk in and start finding rides. HersheyPark has more than ten roller coasters, and we at least tried to ride all of them. It's been awhile since I've been on a ride (I think over three years...since our high school senior trip to Silverwood in Idaho), so I was a little nervous to start with. After a few, I was back in the spirit of them. Their roller coasters were terrifying and amazing all at the same time! Once the sun went down, it cooled off quite a bit (it didn't help that the wind picked up and it started to rain), but we came prepared with sweatshirts, jackets and gloves.

We ended up leaving shortly after nine, and headed back to the room for the night. We had considered going out to town, but I had a pretty bad headache from the rides so I was ready to hit the hay.

We're sticking around for brunch tomorrow, and then trying to head to Gettysburg before we make it down to DC.
